While in Barcelona last week, LG showed us one of its newest handsets, the GM730. Like its new flagship device, the KM900 Arena, the GM730 uses LG's new S-Class user interface as well as a touchscreen display. The display on the device is a good sized 3-inch unit that displays WQVGA (240x400 pixel) resolution. The GM730 is a Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional equipped smartphone that provides users with a mobile office solution that includes push email, Internet browsing, and full synchronization with Microsoft Outlook . The GM730 has a 5 megapixel primary camera with autofocus for shooting photos and videos and a secondary camera for video calling. In terms of storage, LG provides a microSD card slot that supports cards up to 16GB in size that provides plenty of extra room for pictures, video, and music files. At 110mm x 57mm x 12mm (4.3in x 2.2in x 0.5in), the LG GM730 offers a nice profile - especially with its smooth, rounded edges. Other features on the handset include WiFi and aGPS navigation support as well as quad-band GSM and high speed 3G HSDPA network access. The LG GM730 is expected to be available in the first half of this year.
